Music is an important part of my life. I have my iPod on when I work out, when I’m studying—almost all the time. iPod plugs make my music sound better. They’re comfortable to wear and they don’t fall out like my old plugs did. And when I’m studying, people around can’t hear my music.

Hearing aids have made an enormous difference in my life. Thanks to Jacquie and her team, I can hear my grandchildren.

My dad had been a patient of Treasure Valley Hearing and Balance Center, so when I needed to get help with my own hearing, there was only one place I wanted to go. Twenty-three years in the military and nearly thirty years as an auctioneer did some damage to my hearing. When I went to Treasure Valley Hearing and Balance Center, I knew right away that they cared about me and my hearing. Through the process of getting tested and fitted for hearing aids, they demonstrated integrity and loyalty. Being an auctioneer, I spent a lot of time working with a PA system. Finding a hearing aid suitable for this type of work was a challenge, but they worked diligently until they found a solution that worked! I’ll admit it—I didn’t want hearing aids because of the way they I thought they’d look! Jacquie finally got me to come in, and she showed me all of the contemporary, discreet styles available. I took home my first pair about ten years ago, and I’ve been wearing them ever since! I can’t believe how well they’ve been able to keep up with me—between my day job that involves a lot of meetings and phone calls, and my favorite pastimes of golf and riding my Harley. They’re so comfortable that I even forget I have them on!

Hearing loss is different for everybody, and they take the time to get to know you and your individual needs. I’ve been to other companies that were only interested in selling hearing aids.
